Chosing a pet based on your personality
52Ok, heres the deal. I am committed to this whole HubMob thing and usually really enjoy it. But I tried three different times to publish a Hub about pets and have found no inspiration. I have a cake decorating class in two hours, I am babysitting three kids ages 3,4, and 5. and I am tired and in a weird mood today. My husband snored all night, well I don't actually know if it was all night because I headed to the couch after thirty minutes of trying first to nudge him over gently and then contemplating smothering him with a pillow. I feel like I have my head up my butt looking for the light at the end of the tunnel. I am pretty sure that this is no easy task as I have seen someone find the light at the end of their butt tunnel, and well it didn't look like it was too easy. So anyway on with this hub.
Here are a few ideas for choosing a pet for you based on your personaity. This is a completely unbiased list.
If you are generally annoying and easily get under peoples skin then maybe the pet for you is a flea. You could both annoy the world together.
If you are the type of person who likes to squeeze the life out of a party or anybodys good time then maybe a boa constricrtor is the perfect pet for you.
If you are afarid the world is out to get you then maybe a spider would be the perfect pet for you. And if the choose the spider as your pet, then just maybe the world really is out to get you.
If you are self centered and put yourself upon a pedastal then maybe the perfect pet for you is a cat. Ok cat people don't want to hear any complaints. You have to admit that cats are self centered and put themselves upon a pedestal. That is just the cat way.
If you are lazy and just can't pull yourself off the couch then maybe the perfect pet for you is a rock. You do not have to play with them, walk them, clean up their poo or even feed them. Let's face it if you had any other pet it would just die because you probably wouldn't get up enough energy to take care of it.
If you are abrasive and rough around the edges then maybe the pet for you is a porcupine or hedgehog. Depending of course on the degree of your abrasiveness. The less abrasive should opt for the hedgehog while the more abrasive should opt for the porcupine.
If you like to hand around in a tree, eat bananas and throw your feces at people then the pet for you may be a chimpanzee.
If you are stubborn and intolerant to others and their views then a Jackass may be the pet for you.
If you are moody and never know when your attitude might change then maybe the chamleon is the pet for you.
if you are sure of yourself and strut constanly then maybe the cock (rooster) is the pet for you.
If you are extremely cool and sexy then maybe a dog is the perfect pet for you. Need proof?
Don't tell her that I told you, but my dog gave me a lot of help with this list. She says she needed a creative outlet.

You girls have done a great job of matching pets to personalities! And don't smack your dog (what is her name?) - she may not be a cat but I'm sure she's adorable anyway! :)
haha...I really got a kick out of the first paragraph. :)
part of the HubMob is writing about topics that might not be the easiest to write about, so I'm glad that you pushed through the snoring and everything else and actually joined!
I thought it was superb...well done and thanks for the first paragraph...G-Ma :o) hugs
lol - really enjoyed the snoring comment. I used to be really bothered by this as well, but now one of my dogs snores every night. My little Siberian girl is anything but ladylike! She has me so well trained that I think I would miss night snoring now if she were ever to stop. :)
I loved this hub... and think you should be very proud of it too gwendymom. Great job.
Great job!! This was funny!! I am with you all the way. I have had days where everything is driving me nuts, there don't seem to be enough hours in the day, and it was usually caused by the loud snoring of my boyfriend. So, what sort of pet do you recommend for someone who is a cronic insomniac, lives on coffee, and hates cleaning up the poop of another animal? LOL
LOL I knew it! I had never had one but I was certain that I was a "cat person". I imagine myself having some regal, dainty purebred Tomcat with a case full of throphies and ribbons.
Very cute hub. Thanks for the laughs this morning.
I needed a good chuckle today, and this is it! I laughed all the way through the text and was about to jump into a comment to you, when I realized I hadn't looked at the video. Well, that video was the icing on the cake. So I had to take a break, you know, compose myself, powder my nose and all that, and then come back.
All thumbs up, gwendymom! You and Bella make a very cool writing team.
Here's more information about pets, check them out, cause the dog says so.

Hehe...you don't seem to have been in a very good mood when you wrote this. And hey...are you calling me self centered and prone to putting myself on a pedestal? Oh well, perhaps you're right...I do call myself a prophet! :P
